Free/Inexpensive Classes for Kids? In Manhattan?!? Yes!

As just about any parent to a toddler can attest, toddlers have a lot of energy.  And as a parent who wants my toddler to expend said energy, I often find myself looking for classes to enroll my energetic toddler in the hopes of her falling asleep at a decent hour.  But what classes to enroll in, and also, have you seen how much these classes cost?!?  Plus, what if you don’t like the class, considering many places are not drop-in, requiring parents to pay for a set of classes?  Fortunately, there are places that will allow for a trial class for free or at a pro-rated fee before making that decision.  Here is a list of some places that offer this:

Kidville – 163 East 84th Street, Northside of street between Lexington and 3rd Avenue

Free Trial Class during month of February 2017

Kidville is offering a free trial class during the month of February.  They offer gym, art, music and dance classes.  P and I have taken the Rockin’ Railroad class and gone to the open playtime they offer.

My Gym – 1608 1st Avenue, Eastside of street between 83rd and 84th Streets

Another great way to try classes without committing a large chunk of time is Kidpass.  I’ll write more about Kidpass later, but for now, let me just say that it’s been a great resource, especially if you aren’t the best at planning ahead.  For those interested, I often get free classes from time to time through Kidpass, so if anyone is interested, just send me your email and I’ll send you the link.  If I don’t have any, I can also send you a code to get $20 off your first month.

I’m going to update this post whenever I have any new information, so feel free to check back from time to time!
